This is a really good podcast from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and looks at Resilience and the key concepts of developing a more Adaptive Mindset. It discusses many of the core concepts that we explore in our own courses and materials and emphasises just how important this area has become, as workplace absence through work related stress continues to rise.

This Episode explores the idea of resilience and why it is fundamental to the success of both individuals and organisations, helping them to adapt to change and bounce back from adversity. (Date: 02/02/16 Duration: 00:16:56)

Resilience is a term with many definitions encompassing a wide range of concepts and ideas from skills-based coaching and problem-solving to energy management, mindfulness and emotional awareness. As difficult to pin down as it may seem, it is increasingly recognised as a fundamental factor in organisational success, with businesses that invest in resilience programmes reporting benefits such as reduced stress, improved work satisfaction and increased productivity.
