The Chartered Management Institute UK, reports on the long-hours culture and the impact it has on staff. It certainly makes for interesting reading.

On the down side:

  • Managers put in an extra 29 days a year – which actually cancels out the 28 days annual holiday entitlement!
  • 54% of Managers say that their working hours have a negative effect on their stress levels.

On the Up side:

  • 67% of managers are satisfied with their job up from 55% in 2012
  • 61% feel fairly treated by their employer up from 54% in 2012
